News Headline
Gizmodo's editor Jason Chen took pictures of the iphone and wrote articles about this new Apple device on the Gizmodo.com website. Apple's lawyers had Gizmodo return the phone, but the mania didn't end there. The story went much further when police in Redwood California obtained a search warrant and enterred Chen's home and vehicle. His house was searched and computer equipment was taken by the police.
Chen's lawyers argued that the search warrant was illegal as California's shield law protects reporters.
